The New Dogashima Medium (NDM) was developed for micropropagation of orchids like Phalaenopsis species (Tokuhara and Mii, 1993). Organic components are based on a modification of the Morel & Wetmore organics (Morel & Wetmore, 1951) including the addition of adenine and cysteine. The authors reported enhanced growth of protocorm like bodies (PLB) and higher survival rates of Phalaenopsis plants with NDM compared to Murashige and Skoog medium.
Please notice: This formulation contains temperature sensitive substances. Autoclaving time should not be unnecessarily long to prevent higher degradation rates. As an alternative, we also offer the separate mixture of sensitive organic reagents which can be sterilized by sterile filtration and added after autoclaving.
Dehydrated powder, dosage: 1.96 g/l
