• Basal medium: Macro- and micronutrients plus vitamins or glycine.
• Basal salts: Nutrient salts only, without vitamins, e.g. for your own vitamin mix.
• Macro salts: Macroelements only, for example to dose microelements and iron separately.

No, we do not offer PPM or any comparable alternative products.

If you open a cold container, moisture from the air condenses on the powder. Medium powders are mostly strongly hygroscopic and then clump. The moisture also falsifies weighing, can break down sensitive components such as vitamins faster and can promote unwanted reactions.

Therefore let containers warm up while still closed. For small packs this usually takes 20–30 minutes.

Storage temperature and shipping temperature are not the same. The stated storage temperature refers to long-term storage and serves to maintain stability over the entire shelf life. For the comparatively short transit time, these items do not require cooling.

If an item also requires cooling during shipping, only suitable shipping methods are offered automatically at checkout. All other items are shipped by standard delivery. Please store the goods as specified immediately upon receipt.

Demineralised or distilled water of laboratory quality, not tap water. Tap water contains fluctuating amounts of calcium, magnesium, chlorine and trace metals that distort the formulation.

The formulations are designed for preparing at least 1 L. With smaller volumes, inhomogeneity has a relatively larger effect, so the composition can vary too much.

Before taking any material, gently swirl the closed container, because powder mixes can segregate during shipping. Then close it tightly again at once and store it as directed.

1 mg/mL or 1 mM have proven practical. Then 1 mL of stock per litre of medium equals 1 mg/L or 1 µM. Molar stocks make it easier to compare different plant growth regulators, because their molar masses differ.

All containers are overfilled so that at least the ordered amount can be taken and weighed. The smaller the container, the larger the relative overfill, because effects such as static charge matter more at small amounts (for example with 25‑mg packs).

If you dissolve the entire contents, determine the actual mass by difference weighing (full container, then emptied and dried) and adjust the volume.

There are no general instructions for fine chemicals. Their applications are too diverse: concentration, solvent and preparation must each be adapted to the specific application in the laboratory.

Please refer to established protocols that you intend to reproduce or that are comparable to your application, for example from the scientific literature.

Please familiarise yourself with the fundamentals, safety precautions and requirements of plant tissue culture before purchasing. Sterile work requires suitable equipment, for example for sterilising media and instruments and for a low-contamination workspace.

Please also note that established protocols do not exist for every plant species. We strongly recommend checking the availability of relevant literature in advance. In many cases, developing your own method is unavoidable.
