The original composition of the NLN medium was described by Nitsch & Nitsch (1967). The medium was developed for the isolation of microspores from Brassica napus. The microspores were used to generate haploid plants (Lichter, 1982).
This product only contains the nutrient salts (macro & microelements), the organics (vitamins & amino acids) must be added separately after autoclaving.
