This 50 mm inline filter with integrated 47 mm round membrane consists of a high-purity, ultrasonically welded polypropylene housing.
The filter has conical 6-12 mm hose connections on the inlet and outlet side.
The large filter surface of 1735 mm² enables
- Gas filtration / ventilation (long-term application)
- Filtration of larger, liquid sample quantities up to approx. 500 ml (depending on the particle contamination of the sample)
The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane is suitable for filtration of aggressive chemicals, including acids and non-aqueous solvents. It is also used in GC and HPLC sample preparation. Due to its low flow resistance to gases, the membrane is also suitable for air and gas filtration. PTFE membranes are very inert and hydrophobic, but can be hydrophilized by wetting with ethanol.
